Funerals are and should be specific to the requirements of the family of the deceased.
It is correct given this that you decide exactly what it is you want after taking into account
the cost of each item; examples.
....• Do you want a traditional hearse and one or two limousines to follow behind it?
....• Would you prefer a horse drawn hearse?
....• Or do you want a motor cycle hearse?
....• Perhaps you want your loved one buried at sea?
....• Do you want a basic coffin or a high class coffin or an eco friendly coffin or perhaps you want a casket?
....• Do you want an organist or singer to perform at the service?
....• Do you want a cremation or burial?
....• Do you want a memorial head stone?
....• Do you want flowers?
....• Do you want us to arrange light refreshments at a reception venue, for after the funeral?
....• Do you want memorial cards to send to friends and relatives?
....• Do you want Order of Service leaflets?
....• Do you have other special requirements?
....• Do you want your loved one to be embalmed?
....• Do you want the funeral to include a religious service at a church or synagogue or mosque or a temple?
Please discuss with us your exact requirements. We will tell you up front and in writing exactly what everything will cost.
Burial at Sea.
Occasionally, people wish to be buried at sea. There are three burial at sea sites around the English coast:
....• off the Needles, Isle of Wight.
....• off Tynemouth, North Tyneside.
....• between Hastings and Newhaven on the south coast.
Consideration must be given to the potential risk of the deceased being washed up on shore, hence the Marine Management Organisation suggests it is more preferable to scatter cremated ashes at sea. If you are considering a burial at sea we are happy to arrange this for you.
Repatriation. Many people state when they die they want their body taken back to their country of birth for burial. As you would expect the laws surrounding this can be challenging. We are more than happy to provide this service for you. Please contact us for further information.
A Religious Funeral. This will naturally follow the criteria of the religion / faith. For example if your loved one was a devout practising Roman Catholic you may wish his/her body to rest over night in the Catholic Church in front of the tabernacle, with the Requiem Mass following the next day. After this your loved one will be transported to a local burial site or to a crematorium. Sometimes people request the crematorium service to be for family members only (but not always). Rest assured we will work closely with your religious minister to make certain the correct format of your faith is adhered too.
A Non-religious Funeral. Many people have no religious belief. This does not stop the family from still wishing to hold a farewell service of remembrance. To help families a great deal of people use a Civil Celebrant to conduct the remembrance service. The civil celebrant will tailor the requirements of the service to the families wishes. The Civil Celebrant can (if you request it) add little touch of religion, such a hymn or prayer and then keep the rest of the service about your loved ones life, the choice is yours.
In today's world many people place great importance on protecting the environment that we live in, even to declaring their intent for the their final resting place. For this reason eco friendly burial sites exist. click on the links to visit theses sites.
Our traditional black hearse.
• Our traditional black Limousines (decide how many you want).
• Horse drawn hearse in either black or white.
• Motor cycle hearse.
